A poem a day keeps the cobwebs off my keyboard. |
| A rush of orange leaves flutter like a banner by the window, murmuring and whispering taunts. Cat’s paw plonks on the pane of her wild heart’s glass prison. It thrums with primal desires. A yowl starts low in her chest, creeps up and sets teeth to chirring. A crow caws a mocking reply. He claims the high wire, his throne muscling the bluejays out of place. Complaining, they swoop and scroop. But the cat, hearing the faint scritch of tiny feet behind the wall, abandons this battle, flumps from her perch. 15 lines Free Verse Written for "The Daily Poem " Prompt - image of a cat Using the noises irritating this cat, write an onomatopoeia-heavy poem.
