Dead..." I'm not a huge fan of Michael Bublé. For me, he's very similar to Josh Groban, in that he's got a great voice and is thus immensely popular, but I don't really know anything about him other than the fact that he's got a great voice. When I used to work in a music store, people would come in and just gush over his (and Groban's) albums, and there was often a bit of assumed familiarity that felt out of place. I also tend to think that a lot of his music all sounds the same. I guess he'd be called a "crooner" in generations past; a male singer with a smooth, intimate, and sentimental voice. A lot of people love that kind of music, but I tend to think it all sounds alike, which is why this song - like so much of his stuff - doesn't really do it for me. It's not a bad song, it's just not something that will make an appearance on any playlist that I regularly listen to. |
