Excuses

Excuses

More haste less speed
just do the deed,
so get it done
and on the run.

It’s no wonder
I often blunder,
all this hurry
makes me scurry.

But take your time
there’ll be no crime,
the extra care
makes something rare.

And if I’m late,
beyond the date,
the word is ever
that is better than never!
