Week Highlights

August 3, 2002

         Well...It's been a little while since my
last update, because things aren't really all
that jumpin' around here with everyone gone.
So I'll just share the few notable things of the
week.
         I just got back from a sort of small-
scale version of "Girl's Night Out". Okay, I
have an explanation. We were planning on
meeting the people on the way back from
Kentucky and surprising them. We made a
few calls, and found that it wouldn't be a good
thing to do according to the schedule of the
campers travel back home. So instead, it was
decided that we all just hang out and watch a
movie and spend the night somewhere. I was
the only guy who didn't go to Kentucky, so of
course I didn't stay the night. I was just
informed that I had witnessed a small version
of the Girl's Night Out things that the girls do
about weekly.
         We watched a movie called With
Honors, which I thought was very good.
Other than that, I have good news...I'm not
fired. I still have a job, though I'm not on this
week's schedule.
         Today, anywhere between 1pm-5pm, I
will officially have a cable modem connection
to the Net via Roadrunner. Oh happy day!
         Youth group on Wednesday consisted
of about five people and a sheep impression.
Again, the blame goes to the number of
people gone to Kentucky. At least they're
getting back tomorrow.
         Today I bought an MP3 player and an
acoustic guitar.
         And those are the highlights of the
week. Not much, I know. Hopefully things will
get better for my life's thrills when the
Kentucky campers get back. Recommended
listening: Blossom by Candlebox, just
because I'm listening to it right now on my
new MP3 player. :D That's all today...Kudos.
