What has been going on in my life lately? Well, I feel like I am on the verge of greatness. I am so close to finding my calling. Something HUGE is fixing to happen to me. I can feel it in my soul.

2008 was a bad year for me. I promised myself that 2009 was going to be better. In 2008, I tried to do everything my way. In 2009, I am seeking counsel from others. Also, I am trying to focus on God more. I need divine intervention! This is the most focused I ever been in my life! I make goals now. AND more importantly, I work at them. I don't sit around and dream all the time. I try to make things happen. I make my own good luck! I don't wait for my ship to come in, I go out to it. This world-wide recession is scary. I feel like I am living in the end times. I feel like there is going to be a huge split in the world. You will either be rich or poor. There will be no more middle class. It's either one extreme or the other. AND that's why I am following God even more now. I realize that I can not do any good on my own. I am scared that Jesus' second coming will happen during my lifetime and he might say "Depart from me, I never knew you." OUCH! I do not want that to happen. That exact moment right there would probably be worse than spending an eternity in hell.

I am trying to reach my full potential. I am trying to live life to the fullest! I get mad at people who do not set goals. I get angry with people who has a God-given talent or ability and they do not use it. I get mad when I see certain people with certain skills and they are not using them. For example, my best friend would make a great entrepreneur. He has great business ideas. He is good at researching. He could easily make a dollar out of a 15 cent investment. I believe he can get a grant to start his business. BUT he works in a hot, dirty warehouse and he is satisfied with it. He will not even entertain the idea of owning a business. He could probably even get a high paying office job or be a consultant of some kind. He could even do well in school, but he denies all of these options. He is not doing anything to better himself. I ask myself, why do you even exist? You are just a waste of space!

In April 2008, I had a very clear vision. A prophecy if you will. Up until then, I have never experienced anything like that in my life. It happened while I was sleeping but it was not a dream. It was a very clear audio. It sounded like a physical human being was right in the room talking to me. It actually sounded like my own voice, like I was talking to myself. Instantly, I knew it was the voice of God. I expected God to have this big booming voice, but no, it was very subtle and very calming. He just said one sentence but it left a HUGE impact on me. He said "You will meet someone new and that person will change your life."
I still think about that one sentence on a daily basis, even to this day, which is 9 months later than the event. I asked God, "Change my life how?" My conscience told me that this person will either teach me how to be real spiritual or how to make money. Maybe even both. I see a fuzzy vision of starting a non-profit organization...a charity of some kind. I see myself as a philanthropist. Either helping homeless people or low income families. One of the things I see, is me giving money to families to help with their gas bill in the winter time. I see a person who just gaid laid off, received a $200 gas bill and is very anxious of how that is going to get paid. I see me just paying that money like it is nothing. No conversation of "Well, let me check our budget and make sure we have the funds available." or anything of that nature. It is basically, you hand me the bill and I will go down there and pay it for you. (and that policy is in place just to make sure the money does not go toward drugs or something)

I just wrote this great, elaborate email. It was perfect in my opinion! It just rolled off of my brain. It captured the mood perfectly. There is no way I can recreate that. Well, I pushed send and my computer experienced an internet problem. I received a message that said "page not found" or something like that. I pushed the back button, but my message was already erased. That sucks! That message was going out to about 20 people. Now I am not even in the mood to try and recreate that again. My creative juices stopped flowing already! I should have saved it as a word document before I pressed SEND.....I know this because the exact same scenario happened to me a couple of times before. Yes, I said a COUPLE of times before....lol

Today I will make a difference. I will begin by controlling my thoughts. A person is the product of their thoughts. I want to be happy and hopeful. Therefore, I will have thoughts that are happy and hopeful. I refuse to be victimized by my circumstances. I will not let petty inconveniences such as stoplights, long lines, and traffic jams be my masters. I will avoid negativism and gossip. Optimism will be my companion, and victory will be my hallmark. Today I will make a difference.

I will be grateful for the twenty-four hours that are before me. Time is a precious commodity. I refuse to allow what little time I have to be contaminated by self-pity, anxiety, or boredom. I will face this day with the joy of a child and the courage of a giant. I will drink each minute as though it is my last. When tomorrow comes, today will be gone forever. While it is here, I will use it for loving and giving. Today I will make a difference.

I will not let past failures haunt me. Even though my life is scarred with mistakes, I refuse to rummage through my trash heap of failures. I will admit them. I will correct them. I will press on. Victoriously. No failure is fatal. It's OK to stumble - I will get up. It's OK to fail - I will rise again. Today I will make a difference.

I will spend time with those I love. My spouse, my children, my family. A man can own the world but be poor for the lack of love. A man can own nothing and yet be wealthy in relationships. Today I will spend at least five minutes with the significant people in my world. Five quality minutes of talking or hugging or thanking or listening. Five undiluted minutes with my mate, children, and friends.

Today I will make a difference.

When you want to change your circumstances,
you must first change your thinking. Every
time you look inside your mail expecting to
see a bill, guess what --it'll be there.

Each day you go out dreading the bill! You're
never expecting anything great. You're
thinking debt, you're expecting debt. So debt
must show up so you won't think you're crazy.

And every day you confirm your thought: Is
debt going to be there? Yes, debt's there.
Why? because you expected debt to be there. So
it showed up, because the law of attraction is
always being obedient to your thoughts.

Do yourself a favor-expect a check!

There is no reason to have lack in your life-
any part of your life...
When you focus on lack and scarcity and what
you don't have, you fuss about it with your
family, you discuss it with your friends, you
tell your children that you don't have enough-
"We don't have enough for that, we can't
afford that"-then you'll never be able to
afford it, because you begin to attract more
of what you don't have.

If you want abundance, if you want prosperity,
then focus on abundance.

Focus on prosperity.

Have you ever read "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne?

It talks about the power of positive thinking. It feeds off of the Ask-Believe-Receive principle.

In this case, you ask the universe for something (like a million dollars)...you believe you will get it....(actually visualize holding it in your hand) and eventually you will receive a million dollars in real life.

You can even pick the time frame if you believe hard enough. You can receive it within a year, or overnight, or within the next 30 minutes.....it is up to you, depending on your faith.

Jim Carrey did this a long time ago before the book even came out. He took a blank check and filled in the amount of 20 million dollars. He looked at that check every day and visualized it coming true. At the start of Batman Forever, he signed a contract that states he will get atleast 20 million dollars per film, no matter how bad it does at the box office. Cable Guy came after Batman Forever, so yes, he got paid 20 million dollars for Cable Guy and every film that followed.

I am half-way through the book now. One thing I have not figured out yet though, is this:
Do you tell other people what you are asking for? Or will that jinx your request?

I believe that when we are not following Jesus, then we tend to get stuck in a rut. Each day seems just like the last one. We are living without purpose. We are just trying to get by.

But when you follow Jesus and obey his commandments, then each day is exciting and new. We realize our potential. We put other's needs before our own personal needs. We minister to people. We show love toward people. We are on a mission so to speak!

Who knows where God will take us next, when we are eager to serve Him? He might have you lead someone to Christ by walking them through the sinner's prayer. He might have us change a flat tire for someone who is stranded on the side of the road. You might find yourself giving a homeless person your last $5 bill.

Or you might be the one getting the extra blessings that day! Ever had one of those days where everything seems to be going your way? Maybe that is "karma" coming back around....That is God blessing you so you may bless others! That is Him strengthing you! That is Him loving you!

In John 10:10, Jesus said ""I came that they might have life and have it more abundantly."

Hey, I just found out that the Giants won the Superbowl?

Is this right?

Sorry, I have been living in a cave and did not watch the game...yuck yuck yuck

I was actually watching the Scooby Bowl on the Nickelodeon channel. It took me an hour before I realized I was on the wrong channel! I thought Scooby was part of the pregame show.

Eli "he's the" MANning stole the show! My hats off to the younger Manning boy. Actually he is not a boy anymore! He went through a rite of passage on national TV in front of 500 kazillion viewers.

How 'bout that Giant defense? They put Brady on his ass more times than prune juice and Ex-lax combined!

Patriots went from hero to zero at the drop of a coin toss. They were destined to lose, I guess. When it comes to sports, always go with the underdog! (Because if they win, the payout is huge!) When I go to the horse races, I always pick the sorriest named horse on the track. Everybody else pick names like "People's Champion" or "Mr. Lucky". I pick names like "Syphilis" or "Dallas Cowboys".

What can I say about the Superbowl that hasn't been said already? Maybe: "How about that Declaration of Independence segment they did? That was better than the game." or "Look! There's Jessica Simpson still rooting for Romo! Doesn't she know that he is not even playing in this game?"

It was a great game though! Hollywood couldn't even design a game that good!

I wonder if either team is going to return to the Superbowl next year? I doubt it. It will probably be two not-so-famous teams like the Bengals and the Cardinals.

The commercials were okay. The game was excellent! The lady who sang the National Anthem was great! The only thing I did not care for was Tom Petty during the half-time show. Every since Janet Jackson had a "wardrobe malfunction", the Superbowl execs started playing it safe by getting old people to perform. Who is playing next year? Willie Nelson? Somebody should have spiked Tom Petty's drink with a Viagra and got him banned from the Superbowl also. He should have sang that song about smoking marijuana just to get some publicity. Hell, he should have showed his nipples too! Janet Jackson sales have skyrocketed since then. Tom Petty could use the money. The last big song he had was on eight track. Did you see all the young teenie boppers on the front row of the concert screaming out "Hey, my dad used to listen to you when he was a kid!"
