Wonderful poem that links footprints to bits and pieces of our memories over the years.
As we get older, we do leave a mark behind - footprints if you will - and even as they fade away, they'll always linger and be a reminder of what we once were.

the fact is this time it sure is rocket science -
which you’ll know from the force of the boot up the bum!
That’ll open new fields of expectation and fun.
And you may think me terribly direct and brutal,
but for the moon and beyond I’m still the most crucial.
