Recently, Dakota Fanning had a role in a movie in which she did a rape scene. I don't remember the name of the movie, nor do I have any interest in seeing it. I was struck however, by the uproar that followed this movie scene. It got me to thinking...
Why is the public more pissed off about this being depicted in a movie than by the fact that it happens for real every single day? Not once has the public cried out against this type of crime and deviant sexual behavior with the ferocity they used in protesting this movie scene. Where are our priorities?
