It's me again. As I said before, I hardly ever watch TV news but I've been reading about it today with regard to the VT coverage.

I see that the killer sent rambling writings and a vicious video of himself that a lot of stations aired. Many viewers are disgusted with the images, saying it does dishonor to the victims and disservice to society as a whole to give attention to an attention-seeking sociopath whose message is for more poor souls like himself to commit similar atrocities elsewhere. There's a big sign on the VT campus that says "VT Stay Stong - Media Stay Away."

I guess you could say that the TV news is disingenuous in that it purports to deliver news when it is really offering sensationalism.
