There are 10 commandments, you can make up 10 more or a thousand more, but each one would hold the seed of all the rest. Consider: To honor your parents you would have to follow all the other commandments. It takes just as much faith to be an "atheist" as a "believer". The Bible, Koran, and Torah are not books of facts and science does not disprove. There is no such thing as good or evil. We judge these things on a scale. Nothing is so good it can't be better or nothing is so bad it can't get worse. So everything is a degree of good or a degree of bad take your pick. On the matter of being saved. Matter can neither be created or destroyed. Like it or not we are here forever (what ever that means). It is our egos or sense of self is what we would like preserved. I'm pretty sure there is not enough room for mine. The whole matter of exsistence gets a little fuzzy if you really examine it closely. If our science is credible at all (developed by our best minds) there are levels of matter. Atomic structure is protons and nuetrons held together by electrons. If an electron ceases to have movement the whole structure will unravel. You could say that energy is the only thing that truely exists: movement or heat. Why did God even bother to make us? Simple, if you were alone in the universe, wouldn't you want a companion, friend, or just someone to talk to. |
