I agree. A family member legally aborted a fetus in the pre-Roe days because it was exposed to German Measles. The red tape she had to go through to obtain permission meant that instead of aborting at 3 or 4 months, she had to wait until 5 months.
I also know a severely brain damaged baby. If I were pregnant and knew of such an abnormality existed, I would choose an abortion. Her parents adore her and I support them in their decision. That's what choice is about.
I've also known some careless teens, a married woman with birth control failure, and a woman whose psych meds were likely to damage the fetus. I'm grateful that legal abortion was available to all of them.
