That's usually what happens with abortion, euthanasia and gay rights. These are incredibly devisive issues. That's why they don't belong on the political playing field. They're never resolved but they get everyone just devided enough and distracted enough to cause problems. Politicians **use** abortion and gay rights as a tool for manipulation BECAUSE of the divide....frankly, my inner cynic says that's the only reason and not because they actually tend to care about them.

I'm no stranger to controversy on my own views re: abortion. I'm a Catholic, homeschooling mother...not the usual person to utter words in favor of choice. We do a yearly walk for the March of Dimes in memory of our son and I've caught hell for that (because MOD is neutral in its stance on abortion in cases of poor prenatal diagnosis)...can't imagine what some people I count as friends would do if they knew I had any other pro-choice leanings.

I know, in my heart, I'm not a supporter of wholesale murder. I guess that has to suffice.
