I like how the author conveniently skips over the part in verse 8 where Lot offers his daughter to the men of the city (the same two daughters that he later gets black-out drunk and sleeps with, himself - verses 30-38).

What a paragon of sexual virtue that Lot was. No wonder God chose to spare him!
