I am doing Tileira's Worldbuilding also, and so used that as my Day 10 research. The prompts there have been great.
I've often thought that we are aided by Television and Films, for people have 'seen' for themselves so many settings already. We only need a few triggers in our writing to get the reader to pull up the correct mental imagery for any given story, we just need to add the differentiating factors for our particular setting.
So I am trying to really determine what sets my setting apart from the common presets, and then I'm wondering how I will reveal those things in an interesting way.
