There are people I trust with my money but not with my heart... and vice versa. In general don't trust the people where I grew up because it's a back-stabbing mafia culture. Friendly but treacherous. In Costa Rica and Thailand I don't necessarily trust what they say as 'white lies' and 'saving face' is part of the culture. However, both cultures tend to be friendly. I do trust Thais not to steal; but, I trust Ticos to steal anything and everything (and am pleased when they don't). I tend to trust Norwegians but never expect hugs. |
