I must be in a serious mood today because the characters I would most like to sit by are quiet and wise. First Choice: Atticus Finch, who has a soothing voice, could tell me about the law, his own cases, his childhood, his family (wife and kids), and all the people in his little town of Maycomb, Alabama. I'm sure he would eventually ask to be seated elsewhere because of my incessant questions. Second Choice: Dana Scully, who also has a quiet manner, could tell me about her childhood, her medical training, and her and Mulder's X-Files adventures. She, too, would finally ask to be reseated, no doubt. Third Choice: Andy Taylor, who is friendly and has a lot of horse sense. I would want to know all about his childhood and education, his wife, Mayberry and its assorted citizens, his favorite places to go fishing. By this time, the plane would do an emergency landing and put me off on the side of the road. |
