Oh my, we put butter on our butter! and yes there is always a stick in the ceramic butter dish on the counter next to the toaster, (it has a cover) but it gets used every day, and the wife keeps the house at the same temperature as the frig... so it doesn't make much difference where we store the other four pounds we bought at Sams.
