Do you leave your butter out on the counter?
What is vegan butter I will have to research this.

We leave a small amount of butter, about 1/2 stick in a small dish. I put it in an open cupboard that the mice cannot reach. I don't have a covered butter dish.

We have a peanut butter container made by OXO that we keep peanut butter in in the refrigerator. It has a vacuum seal lid, so the peanut butter stays soft.

In the winter the kitchen is too cold, so the butter is never soft. I would like to find a dish that is like the peanut butter one so I could keep soft butter in the frig.
