I've answered this by email (since you emailed me), but for the sake of others I'll answer it here.
If you are writing a radio-/stage-play or movie script, then selecting the right template will provide double-spacing and centering etc. that is expected of such manuscripts.
When writing something to be published (in a magazine or book), the the correct format in Scrivener is single-spaced lines and paragraphs and a monospaced font.
Printing in the correct submission format (double-spaced lines, correct font etc) is achieved during the export process, where you also have the option to export in certain book formats (eBook, PDF etc) as well as export to Word/LibreOffice where you can refine layout and perform other editing tasks.
In other words, when writing you should use the standard layout of single-line/paragraph spacing and mono-spaced font, and let Scrivener handle submission format during the export process.
