Hey Iris!

Welcome to WDC! I don't know all that much about poetry journals, but I have submitted and entered contests with Palette Poetry before. They're geared towards beginners and are fairly new, but the good news is they don't charge for submissions and they do pay if you publish! I'd say check them out first.
