The Live version (from Live 1975-1985) is amazing; Springsteen is one of many artists whose entire studio discography exists in my collection.

I will say, though, the Steinman track has been my favourite since 1986. And Steinman as a song-writer is vastly under-rated.

And if Dylan won the Novel Literature Prize for his lyrics, Springsteen has to be in the same conversation, in my opinion.
