I tried to reproduce this and I couldn't... In the WritingML for your post (you can edit the post and click to via the {/} codeview ML), it's showing the font and size open/close. I'm not able to reproduce that and so I'm not sure how or why that happened with that particular note...

                    

                    

I tried a variety of link creation methods - full typing, autocompleting, @ starting...
None of those did it.
And then you weren't able to reproduce that behavior here in your post either...

So... For now, I'm at a loss on this one.

It obviously should NOT do that... Step 2 is really narrowing down the specific usage that causes it.
If you come up with some steps I can take to make it happen, like most things, I can get it fixed. *Heart*
