Whoever suggested Jocelyn, I think thats a good one, but you could shorten it to Joss.

How about a girls name that shortens to a boys name? Matilda to Matt, erm, Benadicta to Ben, Harriet to Harry, Christina to Chris, Natalie to Nat, Jamie, Julia to Jules, Joanna to Jo, Michaela to Mike or Mick. Or something along those lines. Or Caitlin, which shortens to Cat which suggests a kind of strength, kind of.

I like eastern european names at the moment, how about something like Darya or Danika, the dim. for those is Dasha, or Lilya or Nadia, though I can't think of a nickname for them.

Just a few thoughts
