What's life without a little adventure? you think, going to the closet. You find what you expect there: her typical outfit, and her javelin resting off to the side. Stripping off the nightgown, you begin to slowly don the red outfit you are familiar with. Surprisingly, it doesn't take as long as you had thought...almost as if your body knows what it's doing.
Once you have her outfit, you subconsciously grab her spear, and tuck it behind you, coming back with an empty hand. Wait a second! you think. How did I...? Oh wait. Suddenly it makes sense. Characters in the Final Fantasy games seem to be able to store their weapons and other items in a dimensional pocket. How else could you have 99 potions and whatnot? There's no other way for even a full party to carry that much baggage!
Smirking a little at your discovery, you leave the room. You now recognize your surroundings; you're at the inn in Lindblum. Remembering the game, you leave, heading for the ferry dock right across the street. You tell the pilot to take you to Lindblum Grand Castle. The ride takes a few minutes, even though the rain has cleared up. When you arrive, you head to the guest room. There, you find your fellow heroes from the game.
On the upper level, you see Princess Garnet til Alexandros the 17th, alias Dagger, standing next to the bed. Behind her, ever vigilant, is Captain Adelbert Steiner of the Alexandrian Knights of Pluto. You manage to contain a smirk at how rusty his armor is. On the lower level, you spot the shy black mage, Vivi Orunitia. You decide to take a spot on the upper level, off to the side from Garnet and Steiner. Idly, you wonder where Zidane, the main hero, is.
Incidentally, he wanders in right after you think that. Blond hair, blue eyes, monkey-esque tail, it's him alright. The guard in the room asks what you'd like as a reward if you win.
"I'll go with Gil all the way!" Zidane says with a confident grin.
Smirking, you...
