Local Defense goes offensive

The wolf armies and officials took their time, the village with the shrink ray had been picked for a very strategic reason; it was surrounded by civilians from both sides. In particular, a summer camp just to the north had both wolf and cat cubs who would no doubt be storming towards the all but microscopic felines by now.

Standing guard over them, there was a small wolf spec ops team that had been on permanent station, just to make sure the feindish felines could never get away with any attacks there. It just wouldn't have flown, and now there were advance scouts to A. Guard the kids B. Make sure it was safe and C. provide front-line first response recon.
