"Ah so your a beautiful little girl are you?" The man said nuzzling the serpents head, "Now before I name you, I'd like to introduce myself to you. My name is Tideus, though I wouldn't mind if you called me dad, daddy, father, or anything else along that line. Now what to name you... you look like a Sedna to me." The man chuckled as the serpent nuzzled him again and said, "Sedna it is then. Now lets go take you to your new home Sedna."
The years passed and Sedna grew to be nearly a hundred feet in length and loved Tideus as she would her real father. She helped him whenever she could, and Tideus being a fisher was often.
Sedna had tried to meet new people as well but they always ran from her or escaped her in anyway they could. This saddened Sedna greatly and made her all the more attached to Tideus who would always comfort her during these times.
Together Sedna and Tideus lived a rather happy, if not unusual life, until after sixteen years just outside of the nearest port town...
