I had always been in fascinated by the great outdoors. Well, that was because the closest thing I had ever seen to such a thing was the cities park. Those are no where close to the real thing.
You can still hear cars and their horns blaring in the distance. There's still the occasional waft of sewage and gasoline that drifts through. It's pleasant and peaceful--when you compare it to the bustle and grind of the city of course. So, when my parents offered to send me to a Natural Reserve, I jumped at it. Little did I know, this trip was going to change my life forever...
My parents both worked jobs away from home. So, this was a new experience for them. They probably hadn't been around each other for more than a week since I started school... and I'm 17. They took the opportunity to get reacquainted, which I didn't really mind. I mean I hadn't seen them together since they happened have a small vacation given to them at the same time. I don't recall them ever leaving their room...
Anyway, I decided to let them enjoy their camping trip and take a hiking trail that took 3 days to traverse. I had packed basic necessities and a few luxuries. It turned out that I was going to spend a lot more time in the woods than I expected...
