The eye is a gateway to the brain

As her index finger double clicked a bright light flashed in her eyes, at first she wanted to close her eyes but couldn’t. Slowly it started to flicker in a rhythmic pattern , the screens bright light flickered in such a way that Nora couldn't move. A rare form of Hypnosis employs this rhythm of light flashing to subdue a persons mind, and leave a preset instruction. Nora had no idea what was going on, it was like being in a trance while she was still awake.
[Do not move; open your mind to me.] Was the command beamed into her mind, the human brain would not be able to hear or understand this command. So Nora was forced to obey blindly and not realize what was taking place. Nora’s eyes widened as the beam of light intensified right before it dissipated. Nora fell back into her seat.
