Okay, so the characters are shrinking, but why is it happening?

Your choices:

A jutsu has been developed by an enemy of the leaf that will shrink ninjas and now it has been put to use on the leaf.

There is a unusual disease going around that reacts with chakra and causes the subject to shrink., and Konoha has become ground zero.

A side effect of chakra is that it causes the body to shrink.

Some ninjas are required to be extremly small in order to complete certain missions that require them to go completely unnoticed.
