Emily walked quickly along the dirt road, well as quickly as one could barefoot. Fortunately it had rained a little that day and the dust of the road was a bit softer than usual. Had she been there a few moments earlier she would've seen a flash of light just a few feet in front of her. But she'd seen nothing and wanted to meet up with her friends before it got too late.
Meanwhile, directly in her path, Ash stared in disbelief at the approaching Giant child. In his mind he refused to believe what he was seeing and he tried to rationalizes what he was seeing. 'It's a Dream' he told himself 'You're dreaming Ash, this is all a dream.' Even as the massive footfalls caused the ground to shake, even as the child's shadow fell over him, even as a cute but massive foot swung forward and began to descend upon him, he continued to repeat it was a dream until the very last moment. By then, it was too late. The last thing he saw was a dirty wrinkly sole and then it was pressing down all around him, pressing him into the muddy soil, pushing all the air out of his lungs.
