Tucked below the tower of San Francisco was a coffee shop painted like a Christmas candy cane called swirls which made some of the best cold coffee on the east side of the city.
They had received a gallon of milk straight from Indiana, no stops. They would be open any minute now after being closed for the weekend due to a leaking pipe. The owner wanted today to go off without a hitch fearful that a newly opened restaurant several blocks away would put his cafe out of business or a least make them bleed.
So he put up a half-price extra milk coffee for the reopening.
