A month had passed since her boyfriend's failed take over of Arkham Asylum with the decisive battle against the dark knight, leaving the Joker in a wounded and weakened state. Because of this failure, Harley Quinn had become increasingly desperate to restore the clown prince of crime to his former jolly self. Harley was hardly a woman of patience however, figuring the cure would come in the form of the same Titan formula that left her beloved with such fragile health. Harley however required a test subject, but she may had just found one when she recalled the woman her boyfriend left wheelchair bound some time ago, the Oracle. If Barbara Gordon could be restored to full functioning health, then perhaps so could Harley's mad love, or so she thought.
With the dark knight and the boy wonder away with other duties, Batgirl was left to watch over Gotham on her own. Risky yet something she was willing to do, given who she was. However things soon began to take a drastic turn when a shipment of venom fell under siege by the Penguin's goons, and matters were made worse when Bane returned, wishing to reclaim his stolen property. Along the way, if she had any chance of stopping the muscle monster and criminal mastermind on her own, Batgirl decided that she had to take things to an extreme that even the fabled dark knight would go against.
