After some time searching, Samus finally found one, and the job wasn’t too far away. Thing’s we’re looking up! She grabbed a bit of pudge and smirked as she knew her days as a fatty were numbered.
Her job was on the planet Angari X. Diya Bartlow, the daughter of the wealthy Bartlow family, had gotten kidnapped two weeks ago, while the family were out on an inter galactic cruise, by some cultists of Angarin origin. Not much is known about the cult as it’s still in its infancy, but they do know that the leader Ergon is not to be trifled with. He is a short fused Angarin who rules with an iron fist. He wore a lavish yellow suit of armor. Adorning the armor were some blue gems of some sort said to grant strange power. Her job was to free Diya and bring in the leader Ergon dead or alive so the cult could be disbanded.
Samus set a course for Angari X and got suited up as best she could. She looked down at her zero suit with worry. “I hope this still fits,” she thought as she began trying to suck in her gut. It was tough to get on, but eventually it fit, even if it only highlighted how much weight she really gained. Next was her armor. She looked at the chest plate with dread and ultimately decided she’d rather a light load, so to speak. She grabbed her pistol, a visor and a few other basic necessities.
“Arrived. We have arrived to Angari X.” Samus took the controls and searched for the possible location of the cult. The planet was rather lush with all sorts of exotic flora: trees that stretched as high as the atmosphere would allow, carnivorous vines, fruit about half as big as her ship. The jungle was just teeming with life.
After half an hour, she found an odd looking tree. Not only was it the biggest, but it was also adorned with all sorts of carvings and lights. Samus parked her ship just far enough away so that she wouldn’t be spotted and finally ventured into the unknown. What ended up feeling like hours of walking she had finally reached the tree. “huff puff I can’t wait to be fit again. huff Just puff five minutes before I go in.” She plopped down on the ground and took a snack break. When she was ready she used a low power beam on her gun to cut a small hole into the tree.
The inside of the tree was very well lit. She looked inside and saw some sets of stairs going up and down. Samus groaned at the thought at having to climb them; however that wasn’t all. Inside she caught a glimps of some flat pink sludge extending its tendrils out to move itself down the steps to the roots of the tree. “Angarin huh. Why would they need steps if that’s their natural form?” She pondered on that point until the coast was clear, and then she entered. Her belly got her a little stuck, but in time she got through and headed up stairs to find Diya.
She sneaked throughout the tree, checking every room she could, only taking out the guards, and other creatures in the tree, with a few well placed shots. On her journey, she would find that one of the rooms was filled with fruit! Her stomach growled with envy of the room. “Well maybe they wouldn’t notice if one or two were missing…” She stepped inside and hesitantly ate one. After stuffing her face with many more for about 5 min she got control of herself and stepped away from the admittedly delicious food. “Damn it woman! You’re supposed to be getting fit again! sigh Do I dare look at the damage.” She looked down, despite her better judgment. The sight made her cringe. Her gut was even bigger than when she got off the ship even though she had been walking so much. She worried that if she’s not careful she’d rip her zero suit.
Samus would leave the room and tried not to look back. After a few more flights of stairs she came across a large set of double doors guarded by two humanoid silver suits of armor. From the few cracks, she saw the familiar pink sludge cursing through the armor like veins on a body. Now that the question of what the stairs were for had been answered, a new question had arose. What could be behind the doors? Samus didn’t know but she had a good feeling.
She leapt into action firing at one of the guards knocking them over, exposing a weak point which Samus promptly fired at. The rest of the armor fell down the stairs leaving the chest plate and a lone Agarin shriveling up inside. The second one tried to stab at Samus with a spear, but while her speed was greatly diminished, her reflexes were as sharp as ever! She dodged the thrust and went in for a punch. She struck his helm with all her might, but being not quite used to the excess weight, she tripped and fell on the armor. The Agarin was prone and she still got an easy shot on it, but it was still a learning experience.
Finally the contents of the double doors were hers. She pushed them open and inside was a lavish room. It was nice and spacious beautiful red carpets littered the ground and a throne sat in the middle. On that throne sat a woman. Samus was over joyed for a second as she thought that might’ve been the captive, but then she a good look at her. Diya was described as a thin blonde haired woman with greenish blue eyes, boundless excitement and energy that could last for days, but the lady on the throne was rather portly to say the least. The woman’s fat belly rivaled hers, she had an extra chin compared to the bounty hunters measly two, she had thick hammy arms and pudgy hands which held a rather large slice of fruit. She definitely didn’t look very active or excitable, though her hair was blonde and her eyes were greenish blue.
“Would you happen to be Diya? If you are, I’m Samus Aran. I’m a bounty hunter hired by your parents to take you home.” The woman’s eyes widened. “My parents really sent you?! Oh I thought I’d be stuck here forever. munch munch Thank you sho mush!” Diya tried to stand but was struggling. “RRRR huff… could you puff help me up?” Samus went to the large woman’s aid and helped her up. All that was left was to take her to safety and take out Ergon! indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
