Kat clapped her hands together, a wide grin spreading across her face. "Alright, Cam, here's the plan. We make a classic horror skit. Simple, spooky, and ridiculous. Think old-school horror movie vibes."
Cameron sighed, already regretting agreeing to this. "Fine, but what’s my costume?"
Kat rummaged through the box before pulling out an old sundress of Susanna’s—a light yellow dress with faded floral patterns, thin straps, and a flowing skirt that ended just above the knees. It looked soft and worn, like something that had seen many summers. "Here we go. You’ll be the unprepared victim."
Cam blinked, staring at the dress in disbelief. "Are you serious? This thing barely has sleeves! And it’s got... ruffles? Why does the victim have to be a woman?"
Kat smirked, shaking her head. "Because we need to make the victim look vulnerable. That’s the whole point. Horror movies always pick the one who looks the least prepared."
Cam groaned. "Why can’t you be the victim?"
Kat gave him a deadpan look. "Yeah, no. I’m not wearing that."
Cam held up the dress, inspecting it with a frown. "This is humiliating. It even has a little bow in the front."
Kat waggled her eyebrows. "Come on, it’ll be hilarious. Picture it—you, running through the dark, screaming, tripping over nothing, flailing dramatically. Totally classic horror vibes."
Cam sighed, rubbing his forehead. "Fine. But I’m really, really not happy about this."
Kat grinned and pulled out her own costume—a long black cloak with tattered edges and a hood that cast deep shadows over her face. "And I’ll be the ominous figure lurking in the darkness. Creeping in the background, appearing just out of sight, moving unnaturally, then BAM! Jump scare."
Cam crossed his arms. "Of course you get to wear the cool costume. You’re literally going to look like some kind of shadow demon."
Kat laughed, grabbing the camcorder. "Hey, I’m the director. I need to set the scene. You, my dear victim, just have to focus on being terrified."
Cam groaned again as he flopped onto the bed, staring at the ceiling. "This better not end up on the internet."
Kat snickered, winking. "Get dressed, victim. We’ve got horror to film."
