This choice: Mess with your younger sister • Go Back... Part of you can't resist the urge to mess with your younger sister, Ashlie. You were always up for a good prank at her expense since she could be an annoying brat sometimes. With your new powers there were all sorts of possibilities. A clever idea pops into your mind as you decide what exactly to do. You decide to make yourself into a genie to find out Ashlie's deepest desires and then grant them, with a twist, of course!
Your first order of business is to make it so that people will be unaware of your presence, at least for the time being. Next, you create a duplicate of yourself to make sure nothing seems amiss. You make this duplicate just a normal you, without powers or knowledge of them at all. This Matt will just carry on your normal life as if nothing special had happened last night. With that out of the way, it's time to transform yourself into a genie!
Your appearance needs to change, so that you look like a genie and not like yourself. First, you give yourself a stereotypical genie outfit with the poofy pants, the turban, and the no shirt look. You then make yourself a bit more buff looking, give yourself green skin, and change your face to look very different from your own. You change the facial structure, give yourself glowing yellow eyes, and then add a goatee for good measure.
"Nice," you say to yourself in your normal voice. That needs to change, you think. You alter the sound of your voice to be deeper and make it so you have a bit of an accent. As a final touch, you give it a booming reverb effect to sound cool.
"That should do it," you say with your new voice. "Now we need a lamp." You conjure up a stereotypical-looking genie lap and connect yourself to it, transforming your legs into the wispy end of a genie that emerges from the lamp as you had seen in various cartoons and such.
You then float yourself to Ashlie's room, where you find her sleeping. You make yourself perceptible only to her, then float over her bed. You then retreat into your lamp drop it out of the air, landing right on top of her.
"Ow!" your sister yells out. She sits up and looks around. "What the heck?" she asks. Her eyes fall on the lamp and she picks it up. "Where did this come from." She gets out of bed and takes another look around. "Matt, did you throw this at me?" she calls out. No response comes.
Technically, I did, you think. If you had a corporeal form at the moment, you would be laughing.
Your sister takes another look at the lamp, brushing it with her fingers. "What is this thing anyway?" she asks.
You decide that's good enough, and spring forth from the lamp! "I have been released!" you declare in your booming new voice. Ashlie drops the lamp and hops back in surprise. "Be careful," you tell her.
"Oh, uh, sorry," she says, still a bit shocked. After a moment, she calms down and asks, "so, who are you supposed to be?"
Shit, I didn't think of a name, you realize. "I am Wehttam, Genie of the Lamp," you say. What a stupid name.
"Whettam? like Matthew backwards? Is this some prank of Matt's?"
"Do I look like a prank?" you ask her. You need to save this. "My name is Weh'taam. W-E-H-Apostrophe-T-A-A-M. I am the genie of this lamp. Since you have released me, my master, I shall grant you ..."  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
