Seras decided to visit her band of merry criminals to see if they had any news from the south. The warehouse was an innocuous looking front which hid a den of some of the kingdom's greatest thieves. It was the closest thing to a family and home in her life, and as she spotted Rick the Rat she remembered that many families didn't like one another.
Rick casually picked his nails with a dagger, 'What brings the lady of the night to grace us with her presence?'
'Don't hurt that pea you call a brain with talking, 'Seras responded. 'You will only get yourself in trouble. I'm looking for information about current events on what is going on in the South.'
'Word is that trade is limited, so pickings are slim but lucrative,' Nick the Fence answered. 'Don't know what's causing the trouble but a lot of people are going missing.'
'Strange animal monsters have been spotted,' Jack the Falcon said. 'Not the usual werewolves and other shape shifters.'
'Strong indications the cult of Basha is involved my people say,' Karen the Broker explained. 'I would back out of whatever you have yourself involved with my friend.'
Basha was an animal god who called for the sacrifice living creatures usually in the form of a hunting of the target. The religion was banned after it was discovered they weren't content with lower animals but frequently hunted humans or other sentient races. The King had given her a truly dangerous mission the question was it worth the risk. What should you do next?
