Chapter #4

A preteen girl (age 12-14)

Although on the one hand you didn't want to risk making yourself omnipotent, choosing who to make a new God was certainly the toughest decision you've ever had to make. Eventually, however, you decided that a young girl would be the best option. Being well-connected around the community you were lucky to know a few girls that you could choose between.

The first girl who came to mind was Hope. Hope was 12 years old, still very sweet, cute and innocent. She was always impressive when she was rollerblading or skateboarding through town, and apparently was a good athlete in general. Her weakness, unfortunately, was in her academics, because she was always too dreamy to concentrate in class. She was always smiling and laughing, and had a lot of friends. In her spare time she played tennis, volleyball, and soccer. Apparently she was also a girl scout, guitar player, and avid reader. You liked her because she always made people smile, and because you figured that maybe with her dreaminess and imagination she could make the world a much better place.

Second, you remembered Laura. Laura was a rather shy 14-year-old girl who wanted to become a doctor. You knew her because you kept reading in the paper how she was always winning awards for her detailed knowledge of science. Unlike Hope, Laura was neither popular nor particularly good at athletics. She was, however, much more mature, and shaping up to become quite a beautiful woman. She had a boyfriend, Jack, age 15. You liked her because she reminded you a lot of you when you were younger, and because she seemed to have a kind of maturity beyond her years. On the other hand, you didn't know quite so much about her, as she wasn't as talkative as Hope and you didn't see her so often, because she was always studying.

After much deliberation, you resolved to:

You have the following choices:

1. Call Hope

2. Call Laura

3. Keep looking for other candidates

4. Call another girl (age 13)

5. Call another girl (age 14)
