Some more people who could have texted Pete:
Rick Snickles: A 17 year old Senior in Pete's school. Pete heard rumors about this science prodigy for years. He heard that Rick was going to some special school where the smartest kids in America went to, but he was kicked out for some unknown reason. According to the stories, Pete's school was the only one to accept Rick after whatever happened. Pete ignored all those stories and just decided to be friendly towards the guy. Pete would try to talk to Rick every once in a while but the conversations never lead to anywhere. Pete shrugged it off, assuming that Rick just liked to keep to himself. Rick likes Star Trek: The Next Generation, Doritos, and swedish techno.
Sophia Connors: Pete's 35 year old Aunt. Sophia is Pete's father's sister. She used to run a rental truck company with her brother until his untimely death. She took his death pretty hard, and spent almost all of her time on the company. In a strange twist of events, Sophia's focus on the job had expanded the company tenfold. She had a full staff under her, essentially running the company without her. After nine years of silence, she finally had the courage to talk to the family again. Unluckily for her, Pete's mom, sister, and Grandmother were still frustrated with Sophia's absence in their lives and not yet willing to forgive her. Only Pete had given her a chance and had been spending every other weekend at her place, watching old movies, swimming in her pool, or just talking about life. Pete has grown close to Sophia and considers her a personal hero. Sophia likes spaghetti, the west coast, and spaghetti westerns.
Gregory Pound: Pete's 55 year old Principal. "That guy belongs in the circus" Jack once said, describing to Pete what their principal was like. Pete heard many stories about Mr. Pound, some revolving around him losing his mind during his campaign in Vietnam, others regarding him being an actual werewolf. What Pete really learned from all of this, is that he might live in one of stupidest towns in the world. Mr. Pound wasn't that weird, he was just happy 24/7. It was slightly unsettling to see his big smile every day but that might just be in contrast to the hundreds of frowning teenagers roaming the halls. Also, Mr. pound would often stop Pete and talk to him in between classes. He would ask about what Pete did to exercise or what Pete would usually eat. Pete once asked Jack if Mr. Pound ever asked him those kind of questions, and he responded with, "Um no, that would be bizarre. Who asks that kind of shit? Fucking weirdos, that's what." Pete shrugged it off, as he usually did with these sort of things, probably just a weirdo being weird. Mr. Pound likes Pez Dispensers, Tofu, and Looney Toons.
Nigel Bonnet: A 28 year old Comic Book Store Owner. Pete and Jack would often frequent the local Comic book store "The Power Within", which was run by the not-so lovable Nigel. Nigel got along just fine with Jack and Pete, saying that "I feel as though we are long lost brothers separated by war,” Other people, especially people his own age or people unfamiliar with Batman or Lord of the Rings, were treated pretty harshly. Pete once asked Nigel if he thought that was a wise business strategy, to which Nigel responded with "Don't meddle in the matters of Kings and their enemies. Besides, those guys are dicks." Nigel was fun to hang around but whenever Pete and Jack had to be on their way, Nigel would turn passive aggressive and imply that he needed to reorganize the back catalog. Pete often wondered if Nigel had any other friends besides two dorky teenagers. Nigel enjoys Smoothies, Game of Thrones, and Women who Cosplay.
