"Trucy, can we please hurry this along?" Apollo asked as the teenage magician continued arranging her various props around the chair he was seated on.
"Polly," Trucy answered stubbornly, "There's no rushing magic. I'll just be another minute."
Athena was watching the scene with great anticipation. Trucy was always excited to have new material to work on for her magic shows, but the trick she was preparing for now had her far beyond her usual levels of excitement.
Apollo was sitting somewhat impatiently in his desk chair, which Trucy had wheeled away into the middle of the Wright Anything Agency's main room. He'd lost the coin toss to decide who would be acting as Trucy's assistant for her first trial run of this new trick, meaning he'd been forced to drop his work for it. His patience looked to be wearing further and further down as more and more time passed for Trucy's preparations.
"... OK." she said another minute later. "Now just hold still, Polly..."
"You think I've been doing anything else...?" Apollo asked.
Trucy was holding her Magic Panties, -- the mainstay of all her magic shows -- as she turned to face Athena. The older girl gave her an encouraging smile.
"OK, Polly. Ready to disappear?"
"Wait." Apollo interrupted. "That's all this has been leading up to? No offence, Trucy, but we've both seen you make things vanish."
"Hush, Polly. This one's special." Trucy said. "OK, here we... go!"
On her last word, she did a little twirl in place and threw some sort of sparkling powder from inside the oversized pair of panties in her hands. The powder formed an unusually thick cloud as it scattered over Apollo's head.
"Wait for it..."
Athena watched eagerly, while Apollo just sat in place.
"... Trucy...? What's happening...?"
"Uhh...."
This wasn't in the plan. Apollo was supposed to vanish under cover of the powder. He wasn't.
He looked more like he was shrinking.
"P-Polly-!!" Trucy exclaimed in shock. Apollo realized what was happening shortly after.
"Trucy, w-what'd you-"
Athena was on her feet. She and Trucy approached the chair as the last of the powder drifted to the floor. Their view of Apollo's seat was clear again, but something was very wrong.
Athena and Trucy looked down at the chair in disbelief.
