Finished in the hall closet, I made my way to the bathroom, pesky Lily beside me the whole time trying to swipe at the thermometer. I grabbed baby oil, baby powder, some gloves, towels and wipes and so on, and was trying to carry them all down the hall with me into Lily’s own bedroom, her badgering me the whole way, but too little to do much to hinder me.

Placing the items on her bedroom dresser top, I ask Lily nicely to assume the position on her bed sheets for me to take her temperature.
