Heather looked up at her sister’s now gigantic bed, and after a moment, her sister’s tiny head poked out from the edge. “Heather!” Rebecca angrily declared, “What the hell did you do?”
“Sorry!” Heather shouted, “Why don’t you come down here so we can talk?”
“Oh no!” Rebecca replied, “You’ve done enough for me today; I’m staying right here!”
“Fine!” Heather smiled, “But your door is wide open, and you know that Delilah wanders into our rooms whenever she has the chance.”
Rebecca considered her sister’s words, “Fine, I’m coming down!” Rebecca slid down her blankets and dropped to the floor.
“Good thing mom decided on carpets,” Heather remarked as she helped her sister to her feet. “Are you okay?”
“I’ll be okay when I’m back to normal,” Rebecca snapped.
“Well,” Heather shot back, “If I could, don’t you think I would?”
“You mean we’re stuck like this?” Rebecca asked.
“I guess so,” Heather answered, “I can feel my powers in me, but I can’t reach them. It happens every so often.”
“Great,” Rebecca sighed, “Thanks to your prank, I have to be doll-sized!”
“I promise I’ll make it up to you,” Heather assured Rebecca.
“You’d better,” Rebecca replied before sighing, “So, now what?”
“We’d better go tell mom what’s going on,” Heather said.
“Can we at least get some clothes from your room first?” Rebecca inquired.
“Sorry,” Heather apologized, “The door’s closed.”
“How do you get me into these messes?” Rebecca demanded.
“Well,” Heather spoke slowly, “There’s more; to get to mom in the kitchen, we must go through the living room.”
“As in?” Rebecca said as the realization came over her, “Where Delilah plays in the morning?”
“It’s the shortest way,” Heather defended.
“Well,” Rebecca argued, “I think that we should take the long way or at least try to get into your room where it’s safe.”
What should Rebecca and Heather do?
