This choice: You are splashed with some kind of liquid! • Go Back...Chapter #6Splash and twinkling down by: CMwrite   Trying to go after this little blue devlish menace in the dark is next to impossible as this maze of wet walls were many and slowly confusing, and the abyss darkness surrounding you just makes you bump into rocks after rocks. Hearing the sound of the kobold's steps kept you in a good idea where to navigate, but after ten steps, it became clear that this was no longer going to work as you slam into a wall thinking it was the way to the little critten, only it leads to a dead end. Now you only not only know where that thief went, but now you're lost.
"What's wrong, what wrong, smoothskin? No can't see where yo going. Ha ha." The kobold laughs at your plight, you can't help but curse at the thing as you move your hand around to try to get a grasp of where to go. You can hear plenty of scruttling around you, you can only guess who's causing it as you try to navigate anywhere in this cave system. "Just follow me voice, yo'll get to me quick." The thing continues to taunt you as you follow the sound of the voice. As you make a turn at a corner...
"Gatcha!" The kobold shouts as some kind of liquid splash all over your body, a big gulp smacking into your face and mouth. "Haha, you smoothskin say poison is the best thing for prey to use, now time for you to be a pile of bones" You don't know if you should tell this thing what the actual saying of who typically uses poison or how to use it, you just stare at the kobold for a bit for the the two of you two wait for whatever the liquid is supposed to be do it works, only for nothung to happen. Even the kobold can tell nothing is working as you quickly reach and grab the kobold by its chest.
"Come here you." You say as you try to grab hold of the blue devil.
"Ah, let go, smoothskin." The kobold says as it wiggles a lot before slamming its foot on your face, causing you to drop the menace. Before you know it, the kobold starts running again. "Why tis thing not work? Stupid paper, says it melts prey down to size." The kobold says running lookimg at the potion it use on you to see what remains of it while you are giving chase. You were trying to not lose track of the creature, but its once again impossible with this whole cavern of walls and darkness. Doesn't help is that as for one second you give chase to the thing, you start to gain a minor headache. You hope this "poison" this little thing was using was actually poison as you struggle to keep running. Unfortunately, you had no choice but to stop running as the headache kept growing, the darkness and walls making you feel ill as you kneel down from exhaustion. You close your eyes to try not look around you as you do your best to just endure and wait for the headache to leave you.
After maybe a minute, the headache finally subsided, enough for you to stand and try to look around to see where the little devil disappeared to. Unfortunately, being in this dark abyss of a maze doesn't change anything around you. So far, you can't tell anything different, however, you do notice the walls are somehow a bit further away from you than you remember. Now you can't tell where you are exactly, wondering if that you somehow chased the creature into a massive room and not realize it. However, after a while you started to feel something, tremors, strong one. You worried a bit, worry that an earthquake is coming while you are still in this cave system, worry that you might end up traped here if a cave in occurs. However, you also notice the tremors are rather odd, instead of being continuious, it feels like a its coming and going, like a pattern, and growing stronger. At this point, you can only just bare the tremor as it grows stronger and stronger, making it difficult to stay in place. But before you know it....
KA-BOOM
Somthing slams right in front if you, causing you to worry a cavein did came in, and you're now trapped in this place. But quickly, you look and notice something odd of what slam in front of you. Instead of being made of solid rock, it looks like it is made of something else, something.... scaley, and blue. Looking up, you struggle to see what this thing is attach to, seeing some massive structure this thing is attached to, find it hard to believe whatever this thing is underneath all of this cavern. However, as you struggle to look up to see what this thing is, something about it looks a bit familiar.
What you can't see at the moment is that you were none other than starring at a massive foot, and it belongs to a kobold, the very same one that splash the strange liquid into your face. And what's worse....  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
