A quick, decisive attack would be best, Green Diamond decided, and before she could be noticed, she used her magnetism to lift the washer in front of Pearl, causing her to stumble back, and it shot into her, knocking her off of the platform entirely. GD grinned at how effortless this had been, even as she saw Pearl managing to land on her feet on the sand below.
"What on earth!?" Pearl exclaimed, still shaken by the sudden attack.
"Surprise!" Green Diamond grinned, jumping down to meet Pearl below, flinging the metal washer over her head and towards the Crystal Gem. This time, however, Pearl reacted quickly, pulling her spear out and slicing the appliance in half, it's pieces landing harmlessly behind her, along with the laundry he hadn't hung up yet. Pearl grimaced at the sight, she had just washed those!
"What are you doing? Who are you?" Pearl demanded, now even more angry, "We don't need to fight, the Gem War has been over for almost a decade now!"
"You don't recognize me?" Green Diamond asked, feeling a strange elation at this fact, "Well, you will soon enough..."
Behind Pearl, the sliced appliance began to shake violently, screws and other small components rapidly working their way out of the machine, and soon they began to shoot at Pearl like bullets. Pearl tried to jump out of the way, but bigger parts shot towards her as the machine dissembled itself, nicking her side and knocking her off-balance, until finally...
