Dan is up early as is usual for him. He's in his kayak, paddling out to a barrier island that is wholly deserted. Dan has short sandy blonde hair, a lean athletic build covered in a form fitting wetsuit as he keeps a steady pace paddling across the slightly choppy water of the shallow bay between the mainland and the island about two miles off shore. His blue-green eyes are hidden behind sunglasses to deal with the glare off the water, and make sure he can see any boaters far in advance. Not likely much of a risk this early, since the drunks are too hung over to get out on the water, and the fisherman that get up this early head off shore from the inlet further south, rather than bother with this shallow bay. Add in the storms last night, and Dan has less to worry about than usual on his paddle out to check sea turtle nest sites. His kayak closes the bayside shoreline of the narrow island, and while it is not the open ocean, there are still small waves coming in toward the sand. He pauses his paddling, reading the waves, until he sees the right sort of gap, and with a rapid burst of paddling, he expertly surfs the kayak ashore, hopping out to pull it clear of the small breakers. And promptly stubbing his toe on something mostly buried in the wet sand. He finishes dragging the kayak out of the surf, tying it to a low scrub pine so it won't slide back into the water. Dan turns back to where he stubbed his foot, seeing an odd shape sticking out of the sand. He bends down and retrieves it, pulling it free of the dense water logged sand at the shoreline, and is rather surprised to find it is an ornate glass bottle with a matching stopper. He walks back up the beach, wiping away wet sand, trying to see any markings on the bottle, but there are none. It's color is beautiful though looks worn, as if it were very old. Not seeing any markings, he works on the stopper, which is sealed with some wax, but that cracks easily and he works to stopper free.
As soon as it is free, there is a rush of wind along the beach, and a pink vapor comes out of the bottle, swirling about him as he hears a sound quite like giggling? His eyes widen and he spins about, trying to get a sense of what is happening. The vapor clears, but actually condenses into a column which in turn condenses to reveal a cute blonde woman, in a pink harem dancer's attire, with silver bracelets and anjle bands, who smiles and bows before him. "Hello master, and a thousand blessings be upon you for freeing me from my servitude. May I grant a thousand thousand wishes in your service Master" and stands upright and raises an eyebrow "You attire is very different my master, and I must say I like it. It does your figure justice, if I may be so bold to say" and she blushes, bowing again. "Apologies if that was a bit forward master"
Dan gasps and his jaw drops, not believing it "This is impossible, no way" and he looks around the island, but there is nothing there, no way she could have gotten out here, and even if she had, no footprints leading to where she stan....wait a minute. His eyes widen as he realizes she is floating there, just about the sand. "I gotta be dreaming, no way this is real" and the genie giggles once more "I assure you I am real, as is my magic which is now at your service. I can do nearly anything, but can not kill nor bring back the dead. The barrier of death is closed to me. As the barrier of the heart...I can alter another's free will, choices, or emotions, though I can toy with memory a bit. And I can not change the past, though I can travel into it. That is more complicated, but I can explain more if you wish. But that is it, anything else you wish me to make, to change, to transform, simply ask me and it shall be so." she smiles warmly, then pauses "Oh, and none of this three wishes nonsense. I don't know where you mortals started all that, but I am your genie and will grant as many wishes as you like whilst I am out of my bottle."
Dan walks around her, stunned, disbelieving, but his mind racing "As many wishes as I want, huh, and you can do anything but those three things, right?" his expression changes, as he knows how to prove this is some sort of hoax, by making a completely impossible wish. "Genie I wish:
