At 8:00 on a Saturday morning, Jack figured that the grocery store would be quiet enough to get a quick and quiet trip in. He hated going out grocery shopping at any time of day, but the hustle and bustle of any grocery store in the area during the afternoon was intense. People would be all over the place, causing traffic with their carts, making long lines at the registers, it was always a nightmare. Though he would have liked to have slept in that morning, Jack thought it would be well worth it to get to the grocery store early. Once there, Jack was pleased to find a relatively empty parking lot, with a only a few cars strewn here and there. He got a front row parking spot and then hopped out of his car, grabbed a shopping cart, and went into the store with a fresh shopping list.
Things got off to a smooth start for Jack. The chore of shopping was a breeze on this particular morning, not even seeming like a chore. Without a collection of people on every single aisle, the breezing through the store was almost soothing for the real estate agent. He had his earphones in at the time and was listening to music, thinking that he wouldn't need to interact with anybody until he got to the checkout counter. One by one, the items on his list were getting crossed off and his shopping cart was filling up. He ran into a few people along his journey through the store, with the occasional smile or "excuse me" as they navigated around each other. Otherwise, this was a rather silent shopping trip, which Jack was over the moon about. As he finished off his shopping list and started walking back to the checkout counters, Jack approached a family of three, a fairly young Latina mom, looking around in her thirties, along with her two young children, a pair of fraternal twins: one boy, one girl. It looked as if the woman had her hands full with the kids as their energy started to spike. Between focusing on her shopping list and controlling her kids, the Latina was clearly beginning to get a little frustrated. Jack tried to slowly pass, hoping not to have any sort of confrontation.
With the wildness of the kids, does something end up happening or can Jack get through and finish off his shopping trip?
