About This Newsletter

Stress is a normal part of life, but some of our daily habits cause us more stress. One of the things that increases our stress is the daily news broadcast. One way to aleivate this stress is to take a spiritual break.

Letter from the editor

How do you overcome the increased stress caused by watching news broadcast or podcast? One way is to take a spiritual break. A spiritual break does no always mean reading sacred scriptures or prayer. It can be taking a walk in nature or shutting off all your electronic devices and meditating or taking a long afternoon nap.

I prefer to take my prayer book, find a secluded place, praying, and meditating. Sometimes I take a pen and paper journal with me and write down my thoughts. At other times I take a scripture book with me and meditate on a sacred verse. How a person spends their time sway from news media is up to them.

An individual does not have to spend an entire day away from their electronic devices or the entertainment they enjoy. One just has to spend enough time to aleivate the stress and maybe change their outlook on the world around them.

July is approaching. Do you have any spiritual, religious, or nature poems, stories, or blog entries you want to share? Please submit them to this newsletter.
