Excerpt: We need guidance out here in these shining waves. This contest is about making an example of yourself—in a good way. Each round of this annual contest will be quite different in its requirements. This will be your only chance, for years, to earn the exclusive "Lodestar" Merit Badge by writing a short story

Excerpt: To explain this contest simply, it is a contest based on traditional poetry forms, with a twist.
It will be run bi-weekly, and will be based on a prompt given by me. I will present a traditional poetry form to be followed, plus a twist relating to that form.

Excerpt: Entries must consist of one photo, taken with a camera and edited no more than cropping, and a short writing no longer than one hundred words for descriptions, essays, or short stories OR ten lines for poems. Entries which exceed their word/line count will be disqualified if they are not fixed by the end of the week.
Excerpt: Create a forum post in this forum, no {b-links}, in three or less sentences. Your writing doesn’t have to be funny. If I do a double take, or go ah-hah, you could still win the Keenest Joker.
The kicker is, you must write a fitting subject title and type it into the subject box of the forum post. Winning the most Keenest Joker is easier than you think. The contestant with the best post and subject title will win the prize each round.
