A tragic tale about two people in love. |
For years before, And years to come, They swore their love, Would be for only one. They were so loyal, To one another, For she loved him, And he loved her. A love filled with patience, A love filled with trust, A love many others, Would envy and lust. Though many people, Did not understand, They still stuck together, Hand in hand. Their life was perfect, As good as it get, Until they heard the news, They did not expect. A deadly disease, An end to their fun, A wake up call, Her time was to come. Her six months left, Would quickly pass, It was hard to believe, They would be her last. Before they knew it, The months came to an end, And sadly her time, Would never extend. And just like a flower, Ready to wilt, She awaited, In bed, under her quilt. To prove to him her feelings, Were honest and true, The last words she uttered, Were: I LOVE YOU. He could not contemplate, Why death took his gem, Why mess with her, Why trouble them? There must have been an error, For the soul they had taken, Was far too innocent, They had to be mistaken. Without her, Everything was wrong, Like smelling without a nose, Tasting without a tongue. He would not accept, Her unfortunate fate, And his life itself, He began to hate. So he picked up his gun, Put it to his heart, And with a pull of the trigger, They were no longer apart. People say suicide, Is selfish and wrong, But this was only a case, Of a love too strong. |
