Stand for the Life of the World

Some say they don’t believe it,
Even when the results are in their face.
The rest who know what they know
Need to take a stand.

Freezes of the winter
Begin a week later
Then nature had planned.

The thawing of spring
Already comes a week earlier
Than nature did command.

You need to realize
Temperatures started to increasingly rise.
It’s a scientific fact,
Did you know?
It jumped up high, not too long ago.

Global temperatures
Could climb up to 10 degrees F.
There are more gaps in the ice caps.
Gallon of more water
Will be flowing.
If the world continues
The way it is going.

Many species cannot adapt
To the weather changes
As fast as global warming will strike.
Countless will become extinct;
Both plants and animals alike.

As their habitats leave them behind,
So will many of their relations have to,
Because they will die.
Is that what you want to see? Animals running around,
Trying to flee?

The things we could do to help
Are really very simple.
Turn off all electrical things
When you leave a room, is one example.

Take shorter showers.
Heating the water takes energy.
Plant a tree.
Its not like it would take hours.

Emission of greenhouse gasses
Need to be minimized.
The effect would prove to be
The best thing the world could ever do.
