My Not-So Lucky Day

Prompt: Write a story that includes a lottery ticket, a bagel and a small dog.

Chewing on my bagel, I headed into the lottery store.

Hmm… What Numbers Today… LIKE THAT MATTERS, the chances of winning the lottery are 1 in 13,983,816. But fine whatever, let’s not auto pick them today…

Grabbing the lottery ticket, I glanced at the 50 numbers.

Hmm… I’m gonna choose the numbers: 13 ‘cos that’s how lucky I feel… 35 ‘cos that’s how young I’m feeling… Hmm, what about my birthday… 19, 7, 48. That’s 5 numbers, one more left… Hmm… 1.

After handing over a couple of blue notes, I dragged my small dog – Chihuahua - towards the park.

Can YOU STOP GROWLING ALREADY! Just because your mama’s away on a holiday – probably because of you - doesn’t mean you can piss me off too.

Tugging on the leash, my lottery ticket fell.

“You STUPID DOG, why’d ya eat my ticket!”

It probably doesn’t matter anyway… what’s the chances of me winnin’.

That Night…

“And the winning lottery ticket numbers are…: 13, 35, 19, 7, 48 and 1… Thank You And –“

“Here Boy… Over Here… Come to PAPA!”
