It helps to read the first one, Crops, first. A chilling tale of Jonathon and a farm.
                                                 Farmers
As Jonathon looked up at the humans he had been farming for at least 3 years, he saw their most horrifying feature... Their eyelids had been removed, giving them a cold, penetrating stare. He quickly looked away in horror.
Jonathon then heard the large metal door behind him slowly grind to a halt as it shut. He knew his exit had been cut. He gulped and began to make the long hard walk to the answers to the many many, many questions in his head.
He started slowly edging himself along the wall to avoid detection as he broke into a sweat. He almost screamed once one of the crops he had been farming for so long was dragged along with its wrists attached to what looked like a sturdy rail on the roof. Its feet were bloody where it had been across the floor, it had obviously been on the rail for a long time. Jonathon began to run after it, fortunately it wasn't going fast enough to outpace him.
Just as he was about to wear out and give up, the rail went inside a small room, with a large window stretching the width of it. Inside he could see that it was completely dark, all the lights were off. As he crouched just below the window the lights flashed on, revealing the human crop he had been following was now strapped to a surgery table. What looked like 3 surgeons stepped into the light, wearing old, bloody overalls. Suddenly one brutally plunged a syringe into the crop's shoulder. It screamed a horrible, animal-like scream and slowly fell asleep. As soon as they were sure it was unconscious they pulled up a tray of surgical instruments. One of the surgeons took a scalpel, one took a small plate, and the other took hold of the crop's head. The first surgeon began to delicately cut just above and below the crops eyes. The third surgeon took a pair of tweezers from his pocket and gently plucked off the crop's eyelids and placed them on the second surgeon's plate. Once they had all put their surgery instruments away they all stopped, straightened their backs. Showing off their height, they were at least 2 heads taller than Jonathon. They all turned round, and stared at Jonathon. The lights went out and he could hear rattling and scuttling, the crop suddenly speeded back out the door, reattached to its rail. Eyes completely naked and unconscious.
Jonathon chased after the crop on a rail once again, not too sure what to think of what he had just seen. He was scared of it definitely, and it certainly disturbed him. The way the surgeons stared at him, it wasn't a gradual thing, their eyes didn't search about for him. They just darted straight at him -had they known he was there the whole time? His trail of thought broke once the crop disappeared through another door, the room had the same window on the side. It too was completely black inside. He took up his crouched position by the window once again as the lights flickered on to reveal row upon row of chairs. All of which were filled with dazed crops. He turned his eyes to what they were looking at - a giant screen. It flashed on to reveal a humongous wheel with a few handles around the side. It stayed like this for 10 seconds before slowly turning. Jonathon watched for around 10 minutes... The screen wasn't changing at all. As Jonathon got up to leave, the crops in unison all snapped their necks round and stared at Jonathon. Their piercing, eyelid-less stares being too much for Jonathon, he ran. After he had taken about 3 steps they went back to staring at the screen.

When Jonathon tired of running, he looked around him. There was a set of stairs labelled 'management'. As his questions still hadn't been answered, he carefully began stepping down the incredibly steep steps. As he was walking along the brick corridors he came across a T turn in his path, he didn't want to complicate things so he just carried on walking dead ahead. As he got to the turn he heard a snarl. Before he knew it what seemed like a loose crop had leaped at him and knocked him to the floor. He rolled on to his back and took aim in the crop's general direction and held down the trigger. There was a series of bangs as the bullets laid into the crop's chest and legs, blood spurted all along the wall as the entire lower half of the crop was torn to pieces as the bullets ripped through its flesh and punched through its brittle bones.

After the attack Jonathon was left gasping for breath. He checked his rifle. It was now empty. He knew it would only serve to slow him down as he wasn't carrying any more magazines with him so he dropped it on the floor. A few minutes later, he heard the pitter pattering of bare feet charging across a floor. Emerging from the dark were 3 crops, all practically skin and bones. As he had just dropped his gun and how it was empty anyway, Jonathon ran as fast as his legs could carry him. He ran the way his previous attacker had leapt out from as that was the only way he could go without being killed or without back tracking and running into those surgeons again.

After he felt it was safe Jonathon sat on a nearby box and placed his head in his hands. He was gasping madly. Once he had gathered his energy he got back up and started walking through the corridor once again. He stopped dead in his tracks as he saw a group of crops crawling about the floor on all fours. One glanced at him. He quickly dived behind a nearby cabinet to avoid anymore detection... Letting his nerves get the better of him he accidentally leaned back, the cabinet being quite thin, fell over. This revealed a small grate, it also caught attention of the group. They began slowly stumbling to their feet. Jonathon quickly kicked in the grate and crawled in. He crawled as fast as he could without hurting himself. He got to the end of the vent and began to make the long job of turning around in a vent. After many attempts he had got his feet in a position to kick off the grate. Within a few kicks it fell off its hinges and he climbed out. He looked to his right and saw a door named "Manager", he looked to his left and saw a large group of crops. He quickly swung the sturdy wooden door of the room labelled "manager" and checked for a lock and fumbled around it until he heard the reassuring click. He spun round and turned pale. Sitting at a desk in front of him was a man. The man had his eyelids. He didn't look very crazy. He was wearing a suit, his head and posture however... His insanely long arms were outstretched over his desk to tap at a computer - one of many on the desk. His back was hunched over, and seemed stiff as he moved and clicked with every turn he made. His skin was almost completely white, his eyes were squinted and small. His nose was practically non-existent. He had a long, tangled beard. Stained red, the whole area around his mouth was red. Jonathon looked at his messy, greasy and lengthy hair, it almost touched the floor, the ends were also red. As Jonathon averted his gaze and scanned the room he slowly began to notice all the bones and faeces around the corners of the room.
The man was the one to speak first. "Jonathon, I presume?".
Jonathon nodded.
The man motioned at a broken, worn out chair in front of his desk. "Take a seat, Jonathon. Call me Mr Abaddon."
Jonathon nodded again.
Mr Abaddon was the first to ask the questions. "I suppose you would like to know what's going on?".
All Jonathon could do was nod.
"I guess you know how we are farming humans. But what for you ask? Well. Not for food. That would be barbaric, no, we farm them for labour. It's amazing what you can get people to do with a bit of psychology. We took a few of the most waste of space people we could find and put them in a pit together. We fed them and forced them to breed. There was a reason why we didn't let any of you guards speak whilst nearby the pit. We couldn't risk the "crops" learning any form of language incase they began to become the slightest bit intelligent. Anyway. Labour. My surgeons and such have told me that you have seen their practices? Well. For the new-borns, after they get past the age of 15, they are attached to those rails and you saw what happened. They watch that video for a whole day. Occasionally a few other operating systems, mainly wheels. They are then hired for very large amounts of money. It's a huge work force that never complains, never asks for more, and never even has to be fed, we cover that."
Jonathon nervously opened his lips "A-a-and wha-what's with all the blood around your mouth, and the bones on the floor...?"
"It's a little dangerous for me to try and leave... Of course the odd weak crop walks past that I can drag in and eat. But apart from that I am completely trapped here. I thought it would be a good idea to try and use the crops as a security force. Hah... I was an idiot.".
Jonathon asked "What exactly did you want me for...?"
Mr Abaddon stretched his long arms back and said "I actually cannot remember for the life of me... Oh yes... Promotion to inner levels guard."
Jonathon's face turned into a face of fury. "You put me through all that... Just to tell me that I get to move up in your sick money-making game!?" By this point Jonathon was berserk. "How long has this been going on?!"
Mr Abaddon cut in "About 139 ye-"
"Jesus Christ! Why the fuck did I pick this job! A guard at a farm, since when the hell did farms need guarding!?"
Jonathon picked up the rotten chair he was sitting on and threw it against the door. It made a loud bang... He could hear the small screams of the crops outside begin as they shuffled towards the door.
Jonathon scanned the room for a second time. He saw a small pistol near Mr Abaddon's hand. Jonathon flipped his desk and searched along the floor. He ignored Mr Abaddon's screams of pain as his arms were crushed underneath the large desk. Jonathon picked up the pistol and shoulder barged the door until it broke. As the crops began to stir and make their way inside the room, Jonathon put the gun in his mouth and pulled the trigger. It made a clicking noise. Empty. Jonathon was dragged to the floor. The crops began biting and hammering him with their fists until he lost consciousness. Jonathon was then mangled and ripped to pieces as the crops began making their way over to Mr Abaddon, who because his hands were under the desk, could not fight back.
